Bursary Established

The Maritime Chapter of CHES has established a Bursary, which is open to all immediate family members of Active Chapter Members. A Bursary sub-committee, of the Maritime Chapter has been established consisting of the Past Chair of the Maritime Chapter Executive as well as a representative from each of the three Provinces (NB, NS, and PEI) making up the CHES Maritime Chapter.

Each year the Bursary sub-committee will recommend to the Chapter Executive, who the successful candidate is based on a set of criteria and the amount of bursary to be given out dependent upon the Chapter’s fiscal state. The Chapter has set aside funds in a “Bursary Account.  The initial Bursary will be $1000 per year. The Bursary will be presented to the successful applicant at the Maritime Chapter Annual Conference and Tradeshow held in May of each year. When the CHES National Conference and Tradeshow is held in the Maritimes, it will presented at that time.
